Tobacco Never Quits is a public awareness campaign produced by the Partnership For A Tobacco-Free Maine. To learn more about the Partnership, visit our web site.

Our goal for this campaign is to remind parents that the tobacco industry is still going about its business: addicting new customers. It must, to replace the thousands who die from using tobacco.

Most of those customers will be children. About 1,700 kids in Maine will become new smokers this year. It’s obvious that the nearly $74 million annually the tobacco industry spends on promoting its products in our state is having a deadly effect.

Our campaign is also an appeal to parents to keep the conversation going with their children about the dangers of tobacco. It’s still a leading killer… more than car accidents, illegal drugs, and alcohol combined.
